PESCAN: A FEEL GOOD COOKBOOK
Delicious Dairy-Free, Plant-Based, and Seafood Recipes from Our Kitchen to Yours
Actress Abbie Cornish and chef Jacqueline King Schiller are best friends who bonded over their love of food and wellness. A few years ago, Abbie, a novice cook, asked Jacqueline, a graduate of the National Gourmet Institute, for cooking lessons. Every Sunday, they would take trips to the local farmers’ market, spend the day cooking, then serve these dishes to their family and friends.
This book is an extension of this tradition and the food they explored together—plant-based, dairy-free, and gluten-free dishes, which are supplemented with high-protein seafood and eggs. They share over 100 recipes, like Banana Pancakes with Cardamom Spiced Berries, Veggie Tempeh Bolognese, and Miso-Ginger Glazed Black Cod, all highly nutrient dense, incredibly energizing, and very accessible. Most importantly, they make you feel good!
Abbie and Jacq walk you through the basics of stocking your kitchen and cooking and eating pescan, with foolproof tips, techniques, and recipes for batch cooking. Pescan: A Feel Good Cookbook is a collection of healthy recipes, but it’s also a story of friendship, healing, and developing a more positive relationship with food.
